Josh McGuinness is currently a student in Coláiste Pobail Beanntraí. As part of transition year, he is hoping to travel to the city of Arusha to help with building of schools and homes for the Maasai community. He is hoping to travel in April of 2015, but to do so needs to raise a total of €3500.

Through out the term leading up to his departure, we are holding many fundraising events around West Cork to try and raise the funds for his trip.

He is travelling with a company known as Projects Abroad, which runs many overseas projects around the world. The one they run in Tanzania is one of many community building projects around the world.

 

In this particular project, Josh will be working closely with other volunteers from around the globe, and will also work with Maasai tribes outside Arusha. He will spend his days building, painting and mainting buildings that these Maasai will use in daily lives.
